Help the project
The site is filled with collective efforts as far as possible by the participants. It takes one person to collect all the information about the item, process it and put it on the site at a time. To simplify the process, it is divided into 4 parts:
1. Add a minimum address and what the point accepts
All that is needed to add an item to the site is the location and what is accepted in their own words.
It is quite simple and at the same time very useful — everyone will see the new item and will use it. Over time, someone will add information.
For example:Melashvili, 11; plastic 2 and 5, batteries.
2. Provide details
Working hours, organization, contacts, comments, clarifications.
For example:
Recycleaf,
Mon-Sun, 14−17,container outside 24 / 7,
instagram.com/recycleaf.ge,
https://goo.gl/maps/AdhEHpuQDARsCqZDA,
41.651566,41.640129
Landmarks: Old City, Batumi Seaport, Chavchavadze Drama Theatre
3. Take a photo
Any format, any proportions, vertical photos are acceptable too.
You can even send just one photo.
Take photos as you want/can, a few guidelines for an example:
- Photo from afar
General guideline. As far as possible to fit as much as possible. Containers can be barely visible or not visible at all. Wide-angle format is preferable. - From a distance
Also a general view, but closer so that the containers are visible. - From close up
Containers and what is nearby are clearly visible. To understand the scale: if there is a sign, the house number should be legible. - Photo of container
Only containers close by so that the labels on the containers, if any, can be read.
4. Process photo and post it on the website
Process photos:
1. Sort out the terrain, select photos.
2. Block all the faces and license plates of the car.
3. Sprinkle and refine, choose the right quality (balance between quality and weight).
Add an item to the site.
Ilyas does all this, if you want to help with something, write to us, we will discuss how it is more convenient to do it.
FAQ
Language versions of the site (Georgian, English, etc)
Right now we are already translating the site into English, and we plan to translate it into Georgian at least, and maybe some other languages.
We are looking for helpers.
If you speak any other language besides Russian and are ready to help with the translation, please write.
Other cities
Are other cities planned? Technically, it is not very difficult to add even new cities, even countries.
The creator of the site lives in Batumi and therefore we started from Batumi 🙂 A person appeared who was ready to help from Tbilisi — the capital was added. If you want to add another city, write, let’s do it.
Why the Yandex Map, not Google / OpenStreetMap?
The Yandex map is more convenient, the points are better visible on it:
On the item page we add 2 additional links:
1. To Google Map.
2. Special link to open a point in the mobile map app.
